Join TrustArc as a Senior Privacy Consultant and take ownership of global data privacy projects. You will manage client relationships, lead project engagements, and provide expert advice on privacy law and policy. The position is contract-based, project-by-project, with flexibility in location but requiring availability during US and EU business hours. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus
- 7-10 years in data privacy management required; minimum 3 years of client-facing consulting practice experience
- Professional Certification: CIPP required or able to be obtained within 6 months
- Good working knowledge of major US, Canadian, EU, LATAM and APAC privacy laws
- Self-management abilities and strong leadership skills are required
- Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills, good facilitator, capable of producing quality documentation, staying organized and keeping projects on track. Able to communicate clearly and concisely
- Confidence to speak up and challenge ideas and propose alternatives; desire to constantly seek and offer constructive feedback
- Energy and enthusiasm around privacy and to be part of an organization working in a complex discipline
- Solid public speaking/presentation skills, adept at presentations and crafting messaging that resonates
- Ability to travel as needed for onsite clients meetings and in person team meetings
- Ability to multi-task and context-shift; ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a fast-paced, client focused team
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of client relationships, and manage consulting engagements from prospecting, defining SOWs, leading project kick-offs, drafting and presenting findings reports and risk analyses
- Support Account Manager and the rest of the client team in project and renewal discussions
- Provide consistent reporting on project status, progress and other relevant dates
- Serve as subject matter resource on privacy law and policy matters and provide input into defining and building new consulting offerings
- Identify and provide analysis of new and existing consumer privacy, employee privacy, and other relevant data and consumer protection laws
- Participate in webinars on topics relating to data privacy
Preferred Qualifications
Additional CIPP or other complimentary certifications (CIPM) are strongly favored
