Summary

The job is for a Senior Product Counsel at Pennylane to work on strategic legal issues related to the product Pennylane, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role requires deep understanding of the solution, business model, clients, and applicable laws and regulations. The candidate will coordinate with external legal support as needed.

Requirements

• Solid experience as an attorney or lawyer, preferably in a fast-growing company in a relevant sector, such as Fintech, with a strong product/tech orientation
• Excellent understanding of legal issues related to technological products, particularly data protection and intellectual property
• Mastery of legal issues related to the development of new SaaS product features and associated methods
• Experience with contractualization (SaaS terms and conditions) and compliance (GDPR in particular)
• Practical, efficient problem-solver who seeks simple solutions and adaptable solutions for each project
• Creative, business-oriented mindset with strong instincts and rigorous work ethic
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining detailed knowledge of each project
• Excellent communication and writing skills in French and English
• Enjoys challenges, finds innovative legal solutions to new problems, and takes risks to define new conforming practices
• Understands business values and can differentiate between creative value and theoretical legal debates

Responsibilities

• Pilot strategic legal and compliance issues for product projects, including contract negotiations and management
• Ensure the product complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and ethical rules
