Senior Counsel

Summary

Join Figma as Senior Counsel, Corporate and Securities to help develop corporate legal strategy, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Assist with corporate governance, M&A, venture investing, and equity administration. Help lead public company readiness projects and build a robust compliance program.

Requirements

• 8+ years of legal experience at a top tier law firm and in-house legal department
• A J.D. and are a current member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
• Deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws and SEC reporting
• Experience working on a variety of M&A transactions

Responsibilities

• Assist with corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, M&A, venture investing and equity administration
• Ensure the Company remains compliant with all applicable corporate and securities laws and regulations, including potential future SEC requirements
• Help lead public company readiness projects
• Provide support and advice relating to the Company’s expanding international operations, including creating and managing corporate subsidiaries
• Help build and maintain a robust, public company-ready corporate compliance program
• Build and maintain processes and infrastructure, such as playbooks, templates, metrics, and self-serve tools, to help scale the legal function
