Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join AlphaSense's growing Product team as a Senior Product Designer to lead feature strategic design work, leveraging your creative skills and design expertise. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring product designs align with business objectives and user requirements. Responsibilities include creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs; engaging with customers to understand their needs; developing and executing design strategy; and collaborating with stakeholders to translate user requirements into effective designs. You will also work within a growing design system, stay informed about industry trends, and demonstrate strong communication skills. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience in product design, strong skills in interaction design, and experience designing B2B or enterprise software. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating ability to simplify complex workflows and systems into intuitive interfaces with great adoption outcomes
• Strong skills in interaction design, systems thinking, and information architecture
• Experienced in designing B2B or enterprise software, ideally including experience in permission systems, configuration, and compliance-heavy domains
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills to enable disparate teams to work together, create shared language and solutions, and drive organizational alignment
• Passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences, highly curious, a future thinker, and always interested in learning more about complex topics and getting up to speed quickly
• Proficiency in design (primarily Figma) and prototyping tools
• Strong understanding and proven experience of user-centered design principles, end-to-end customer workflows and ability to transform new users into habitual users

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate the product's functionality and user experience
• Engage with customers through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand their needs, pain points, and behaviors. Iterate designs based on feedback and data analysis
• Develop and execute a design strategy that aligns with company goals
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and evaluate user requirements, translate them into effective designs, and ensure that the final product meets the needs of both the users and the business
• Have experience working within a growing and evolving design system, adapting to and implementing evolving design patterns and component libraries
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design
• Demonstrate strong and persuasive communication skills, ensuring complex ideas are understood by cross-departmental partners
• Collaborate with engineering teams during development, advocating for design quality and user experience by championing the importance of design fidelity and attention to detail throughout the development lifecycle
