Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer in a similar role
  • Comprehensive understanding of user-centered design principles, with a focus on creating exceptional user experiences
  • Mastery designing in Figma, and an eagerness to stay updated on industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other designers, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented design team
  • Ability to interpret and translate product requirements into compelling design solutions, presenting multiple viable paths forward
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, while still exploring and aligning projects with company goals, providing regular updates, collaborating with key stakeholders, and balancing attention to detail with consideration of the bigger picture
  • Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to anticipate issues, translate insights into effective solutions, and take a pragmatic view toward overcoming challenges

Responsibilities

  • Lead your product team collaboratively (PM/Eng), strategizing with leaders across functions to drive cross-product projects, and mentoring other designers
  • Work on complex and ambiguous projects, leading design through all stages of the product design process
  • Explore how projects fit customer workflows and consider the bigger picture while partnering with PM/Eng Leads on strategy, priorities, and providing regular updates incorporating feedback
  • Independently plan, shape objectives for, conduct, and co-lead the synthesis of user research with minimal guidance
  • Employ diverse testing methods including accessibility, features, content, and localization to spearhead the development of intricate prototypes, incorporating feedback through iterative design, and championing the adoption of innovative techniques within the team
  • Create clear user flows for complex interactions meeting diverse user needs, demonstrating deep knowledge of our design system, and actively collaborating on its creation, maintenance, and evolution
  • Clearly communicate design thinking/rationale to the organization, leadership, and clients, while actively listening, engaging in constructive dialogue, and transparently documenting decisions
  • Proactively present work with rationale, effectively give/receive feedback, participate in hiring/critiques, and contribute positively to team culture through mentoring and assistance
  • Proactively anticipate/resolve issues and blockers, translate insights into pragmatic solutions drawing on experience, over-communicate asynchronously, and follow through reliably
