Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join Garner, a rapidly growing healthcare company, as a Senior Product Designer to create impactful solutions for mission-critical user problems. You will lead design projects from end-to-end, developing a deep understanding of member needs and collaborating closely with the product and engineering teams. This fully remote position requires 5+ years of experience in shipping consumer-facing and internal B2B products, strong strategic product thinking, and excellent communication skills. You will contribute to the design team's processes and culture, participating in user research and testing. Garner offers a competitive salary ($175,000-$215,000), equity incentives, and benefits including flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and Teladoc.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience shipping both consumer-facing products as well as internal tools or B2B systems
• Strong strategic product thinking skills that compliment your design skills. You are a thought partner to the product managers you work with and regularly influence prioritization and scoping with your rationale
• A highly refined aesthetic sense and a preference for simple and clean experiences. You design products that not only meet user needs, but are delightful and engaging
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate design rationale and concepts to stakeholders
• A humble and user-focused approach to design. You are constantly challenging your own assumptions and crave feedback through research and metrics
• A proven track record of leading design projects from end to end
• Experience working with components, libraries, and functional prototypes
• A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from end to end to create new features and experiences across our product that our members love
• Develop a deep understanding of our member’s needs and motivations, practicing empathy at every step and creating products for users who are seeking seamless healthcare recommendations for themselves or family members
• Thought partner with our product team to help shape the roadmap
• Work on both member facing consumer app features, and well as internal and client facing tools
• Work closely with engineers to evolve and expand our design system across platforms
• Lead and participate in our user research and testing (generative & evaluative)
• Evolve and contribute to the design team’s processes, systems, and culture
