Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join Marqeta as a Senior Product Designer and play a key role in designing solutions for business customers to build and launch card programs. You will work on consumer-facing products and shape the future of embedded finance. This role requires a strong focus on craft and execution, project leadership, and independent operation. The Product Design team is collaborative and supportive, with established team rituals. This Flexible First role can be performed remotely within the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario or Vancouver Metro Area, BC. Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company, or a design agency
• A portfolio that showcases engaging examples of B2C/consumer-facing products on mobile native platforms (iOS and/or Android), SDK products, and/or white label products
• Expertise in product, interaction, and visual design paired with a high bar of craft and taste
• Experience leading design projects end-to-end
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent presentation and storytelling abilities
• Comfort working with distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Craft embedded finance solutions for customers and cardholders
• Own a product area and lead design execution end-to-end while driving cross-functional alignment
• Assume responsibility for design quality in areas they oversee
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders on all aspects of product, design, and development
• Advocate for user needs and balance them with business needs to make informed decisions that work for all

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Payments or Fintech
• Experience designing B2B/enterprise products and tools
• Additional expertise in one or more of these areas: accessibility, motion design, content design, user research, design system, front-end engineering, product management
