Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join Miaplaza, a company focused on creating engaging learning experiences for kids through great design, as a Senior Product Designer. You will play a key role in shaping the user experience and integrating design into product strategy and development. This position offers the opportunity to elevate the design system, refine user research, and create intuitive learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in product design, ideally in EdTech, and a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design expertise. Miaplaza offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The position is 100% remote within Europe (CET ± 3 hours) and is a full-time role (30-40 hours/week).

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product design, ideally in EdTech or a mission-driven organization
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design and the ability to translate research insights into impactful solutions
• Proven ability to plan and conduct user research collaboratively with team members
• Proficiency in Figma and experience with maintaining or contributing to a design system
• A solid understanding of accessibility principles and inclusive design practices
• Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and balance user needs with business goals

Responsibilities

• Lead research efforts alongside your team and product manager, uncovering insights that shape intuitive and engaging learning experiences
• Design intuitive, age-appropriate learning experiences that inspire and empower our users
• Apply pedagogy principles to create engaging, inclusive, and user-centered interfaces
• Contribute to and expand Miaplaza’s design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align design goals with user needs and business objectives
• Create high-quality prototypes to test and validate ideas with stakeholders and users
• Collaborate closely with teammates to share feedback, build on each other’s strengths, and take shared responsibility for the quality and experience of our products

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying pedagogy principles in design or familiarity with designing for learners of different age groups
• Workshop facilitation skills for aligning teams and fostering collaboration
• Experience implementing motion design and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement

Benefits

• The expected starting pay range is 60,000€ - 85,000€/annum
