Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join OLX's Product Design team as a Senior Product Designer and contribute to the development and maintenance of their design system, Nexus. This fully remote position, based in Poland, requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape, develop, and maintain the design system across multiple channels and products. You will create detailed documentation, establish processes, and guide product designers. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of design systems, user-centered design, and visual design, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. Requirements

• A proven understanding of the technical aspects of the development process and experience with successfully architecting, designing, and building scalable Design Systems that remain relevant over time within a large product organization
• Deep understanding of visual design and proven practice in creating innovative and impactful interfaces that elevate design craft while influencing the design system's continuous expansion and improvement
• Comprehensive understanding and practice of applied user-centered design methodologies, process stages (problem framing to hypothesis definition, ideation, testing solutions, design handover to implementation), and user research to tackle complex customer problems
• A goal-driven mindset with a proven track record of design work oriented by crucial business metrics and strategic product objectives
• You are a strong communicator with a proven track of close collaboration with different stakeholders and peers on directions and solutions. Experience managing expectations and resolving complex cases is a great addition
• Ability to design low and high-fidelity mockups for multiple devices using Figma and design systems. Strong skills in user-interface design and attention to detail are a must
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, both verbal and written, that allow you to explain the rationale behind your ideas and solutions with clarity and assertiveness. Fluent English is a must
• You are a self-starter and don’t wait for tasks to be handed to you. You’re eager to grow and help people around you grow together. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diligent, autonomous, can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, Product, Content Strategy, and Design Ops to drive cross-functional alignment, define strategy, and further develop our Design System
• Shape, develop, and maintain the Design System to serve needs across multiple channels (Web, mWeb, mobile) and products (brands such as OLX, Otomoto, Otodom, Standvirtual, and more)
• Co-create tools and libraries that will help different functions to adopt and use the Design System in their daily work
• Create detailed documentation for the Design System to outline guidelines and standards
• Establish a process, gather requirements, manage components, and provide guidance for product designers in distributed teams across Europe
• Support users of the Design System through multiple forms of communication and guidance
• Advocate the design system within our company by communicating strategy, plans, and updates across the organization
• Help drive adoption of the Design System
