Summary
Join Pomelo Care, a rapidly growing tech company focused on improving maternal and newborn care, as a Senior Product Designer. You will lead the design of patient enrollment and onboarding experiences, conducting user research and collaborating with various teams to create a streamlined and user-friendly process. This role requires 6+ years of experience in designing consumer-facing products in complex problem spaces and a proven track record of leading user research. You will report to the VP of Product Design and advocate for patient needs throughout the design process. Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and delivering high quality, consumer facing product features or services in organizations working in complex problem spaces
- Proven track record of independently leading thoughtful user research processes that directly evaluate potential design directions
- Demonstrable systems-thinking skills, connecting product and operational changes to meet the needs of users
- Strong communication skills, especially when describing complex research and design concepts to audiences who may not be that familiar with design
- Portfolio required demonstrating the design work youβve done β including the problem you were trying to solve, how you approached it, and the outcome
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of strategic projects that deliver substantial value to patients and impact multiple departments, including clinical and operational teams
- Conduct user research with patients to deeply understand their needs and inform product strategy and direction
- Choose the appropriate level of design support to help push a project forward - whether that be a quick wireframe, in-depth user flow diagram, or detailed prototype
- Facilitate design sessions with various teams to help collect a broad swath of ideas from colleagues across the company
- Drive design decision-making through close collaboration with marketing, outreach, product, engineering, clinical, and operational counterparts
- Advocate for the needs of our patients every step of the way
Preferred Qualifications
- Have worked on internal tools in complex industries, such as healthcare tech, fintech, or civic tech
- Have worked at a startup during a period of rapid growth
