Senior Product Designer - Demand

Summary

Join BlaBlaCar as a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of multimodal passenger experiences. You will dedicate 75% of your time to hands-on design work, managing complex projects across the passenger journey. In addition to design contributions, you will mentor a team of two designers, providing guidance and support. Collaboration with various teams, including Product, Engineering, and Research, is crucial. You will report to the Head of Design and ensure designs are consistent with strategic goals. The role requires significant experience in user-centric design and team management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing user-centric solutions across mobile, web, and desktop, with at least 2 years in a management or mentoring role
• Proven experience managing, mentoring, or coaching other designers, including performance development and feedback
• Proficient in Figma
• End-to-end leadership across the entire design process, from concept to delivery
• Strong ability to simplify complex journeys into scalable, intuitive experiences
• Customer centric and obsessed by our clients problems
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strength in visual and content design aligned with brand and UX guidelines
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Self-starter and high autonomy
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Define and solve user problems using insights from data, research, and BlaBlaCar’s strategic objectives
• Design and iterate end-to-end flows, from concept to QA, using the design system for consistency and speed
• Facilitate strong collaboration across design, product, engineering, and content teams
• Define and apply market benchmarks and best practices to drive innovation
• Foster a culture of design excellence and continuous learning within your team
• Balance hands-on design work with people management responsibilities
• Continuously refine solutions based on performance data, user feedback, and market trends
• Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of product designers, providing clear direction, feedback, and development support
