Requirements
- Be a collaborative designer seeking truth with partners across engineering, product management, UX research, product analysts, product marketing, and technical writers
- Be an evidence-based decision maker identifying problems to solve that add value via user research
- Be a framer for creative solutions contextualizing the problem space in peopleโs journeys
- Be at ease with ambiguity, learning through experimentation to find clarity
- Be a clear communicator articulating design decisions, their constraints, trade-offs, and risks
- Be a dedicated craftsperson using skills of wire-framing, prototyping, and interaction design to create great user experiences
- Be a growth-oriented Individual Contributor with a few years of experience working on complex applications and focused on expanding broad proficiency of skills and career
Responsibilities
- Design the in-app messages experience
- Identify and prioritize problems to solve through research
- Design experiences to offer the best-in-class in-app messaging tool
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX researchers, product analysts, technical writers, engineers, and fellow product designers
- Deliver solutions that make Braze an easier and more enjoyable product to work with
- Understand Braze's users and business
- Be an effective verbal and visual communicator
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong prototyping skills
- Significant experience with any aspect of lifecycle marketing
- Advanced degree in HCI, interaction design, or service design
- Portfolio demonstrating the whyโs of the design decision supported by user insights, data or technical limitations
- Experience shipping high impact features
- Experience working on SaaS products both on web and mobile
- Experience in an agile organization, working in cross-functional teams / pods / verticals
- Prior experience at high-growth startups
