Join Moniepoint as a Senior Product Manager and lead your own product area, driving business objectives and KPIs. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of solutions, from identifying problems and opportunities to measuring success and iterating. This role involves close collaboration with design, engineering, and other teams to define and execute product strategies, focusing on delivering seamless user experiences within the Foreign Exchange (FX) app. You will own key product areas like Home, Profile, and Settings, aiming to minimize customer churn and maximize retention. Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in a heavily customer facing product area such as User Onboarding, Core App Experience etc
  • 2+ years product management experience on a mobile app at a fintech start-up or scale-up
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, math, science, or any other technical/analytical discipline from a top university, or high grades (GPA:+3.4/4.0) from a good university. Equivalently product experience at leading tech companies will be considered
  • Highly analytical thinker along with solid business sense that can drive business OKRs and prioritise backlog items in a data driven manner
  • Experience leading product development and launch from scratch by delivering features end-to-end from discovery till the release
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • A keen eye for detail and simple UI/UX. Great understanding of design best practices. Has experience of working closely with UI/UX designers and creating wireframes for customer facing products
  • A practical start-up mindset of learning fast, moving fast, being proactive and hands-on to “get things done” in a fast paced environment. Being comfortable with making decisions with limited information and building products from 0 to 1
  • Good knowledge on product management practices and tools such as user research techniques, usability testing, A/B testing, data analysis tools & techniques, JIRA and FIGMA
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills either when writing PRDs or JIRA tickets for your teams, talking to other internal stakeholders, or communicating with external partners or customers
  • A big supporter of agile methodologies. Having a SCRUM certificate or experience in SCRUM or similar agile methodologies
  • Works in a structured manner, good at documenting processes and results, experience in Confluence
  • A readiness to provide insight and deliver measurable results under ambiguous situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with data tools (e.g. Mixpanel) – we’re looking for someone analytical, it’s always great when you’re hands on enough to dig in when required

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Leadership in driving key objectives and results for the business unit (FX)
  • Develop relationships with other internal business units, collaborate with them to optimize and enhance our integration with the systems they manage
  • Handle internal and external stakeholder communication for upcoming product work
  • Define, set up and monitor key product OKPs & KPIs in line with the business objectives
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback
  • Generate insights and recommendations based on product usage and report findings to stakeholders
  • Create, plan and execute user research that drive business objectives
  • Conduct user research using appropriate research methodologies
  • Systematically create and explore opportunities and solutions for ideas that solve customer problems
  • Summarise and present research findings to key stakeholders
  • Identify and prioritise the biggest problems our customers and business are facing in a structured and data driven way
  • Use internal and external channels to identify problems and gather insights (i.e. customer data, user research etc.)
  • Manage your own roadmap having a list of prioritised problems and solutions
  • Dig deeper until you find the root causes of the problems identified, and explore solutions accordingly
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create low-fidelity wireframes for features and products
  • Coordinate closely with product designers in crafting ideas and designing high fidelity designs. Write product requirements documents for your engineering manager and team to develop the designs
  • Work closely with your engineering team and engineering manager to convert product requirements and designs into live features
  • Follow an agile approach such as SCRUM, while ensuring your team is delivering high quality outputs with a fast pace and an agile mindset
  • Be detail oriented and ensure the solution delivered is in line with the product requirements and the designs
  • Design and execute appropriate usability tests for a product or feature when needed
  • Release A/B tests to measure success of the product changes and iterate if needed
  • Collate, analyse and report on findings to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with other internal teams such as Growth/Marketing, Customer Support, Security, Tech, Central systems, Compliance, Operations etc. to make the necessary Product changes, manage expectations and decide on the priority of the backlog items
  • Have an open-mind when listening problems and negotiate/offer solutions to deliver in a fast and efficient way
  • Improve processes and ways of working with your internal team and other stakeholders to increase delivery speed and quality
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
  • Develop a structured way of working to have the right balance between the new feature development, existing feature iterations, tech debt and bug fixing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in products targeting developing/emerging markets
  • Experience in a fast growing start-up or scale-up environment
  • Good at working with several cross-functional teams - engineering, marketing/growth, legal, compliance, customer support, operations etc
  • Knows how to write SQL queries
