Summary
Join Vonage as a Senior Security Product Manager and define, execute the security product strategy for our PaaS platform. Collaborate with product development, security engineering, legal, and customer needs to ensure the platform meets the highest security standards. Lead the strategy for protecting customer data and workloads while enabling fast, flexible modern development. Translate complex security requirements into seamless user experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strategic thinking and technical expertise. You will be the guardian of our customers' trust, impacting their ability to meet compliance requirements and defend against threats. Your leadership in security product development will be key to our platform's success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on security products
- Deep understanding of cloud security concepts, technologies, and frameworks
- Experience with security controls for PaaS or IaaS platforms
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
- Familiarity with security technologies such as IAM, encryption, network security, and threat detection
- Background in software development or security engineering
- Strong technical background with the ability to communicate with engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for security features across our PaaS platform working closely with other product managers, CISO and engineering teams
- Investigate cyber threats, conduct root cause analysis, and work with development teams to implement corrective actions
- Collaborate to define a centralized Risk, Compliance & Security governance process
- Design and implement security controls based on known vulnerabilities and improvements
- Ensure security is embedded throughout the product lifecycle, building a security-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent)
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and tools
- Understanding of container security, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures
- History of successful product launches in cloud or security domains
- Experience working in agile environments and managing product roadmaps
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to diverse audiences
