Requirements

  • 5+ years of validated experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment
  • Deep understanding of Agile Development, formal agile methodologies, and standard processes
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of individuals
  • Outstanding organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the product backlog reflects and aligns with the strategic roadmap, as defined by product and leadership
  • Support all stages of more than one product, including planning, design, development, and delivery
  • Convey market needs and business value to your Scrum team
  • Refine and prioritize the backlog based on business value
  • Build user stories and review them with development team to establish a definition of done
  • Translate customer language into technical details
  • Articulate and detail acceptance criteria
  • Work cross-functionally with the Product Manager and collaborators to understand and fulfill the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Understand the “big picture” of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and policy considerations, and creatively define solutions to those challenges
  • Actively participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Work closely with engineering and quality assurance to ensure the right customer problem is solved
  • Track and communicate to senior-level team members the progress towards the release of a product
  • Design and conduct validation testing throughout the sprint and for releases
  • Mentor junior product owners and share standard methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CSPO or A-CSPO
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or Rally
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/SQL queries
  • Technical skill-familiarity with Lucidchart
  • Desired experience with front-end projects and data-driven projects
  • Experience leading several projects, teams, and tasks
