Requirements
- At least seven (12) years of experience in project or program management or related experience
- B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects align with the organization’s leaders, the strategic objectives and drive results to the long-term goals
- Oversee the development and execution of the project plan including setting goals, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Make recommendations where needed to achieve objectives, operational excellence, and value
- Collaborate and lead Executive(s), Leadership teams or Steering Committee(s) to align strategic initiatives and escalations
- Identifying, building, and managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure program success
- Dedication to understanding their business needs and meeting the needs of various stakeholders, delivering value, and ensuring satisfaction
- Works on complex problems where problems not clearly defined
- Translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution
- Engages in corporate development of methods, technique and valuation criteria for project, programs, and people
- Identifies potential risks and strategies to mitigate the potential impacts to projects
- Monitor project performance and make necessary adjustments to stay on track
- Provides regular updates to senior management/leadership around project progress, challenges, and successes
- Utilizing tools and methodology to track and report
- Perform value analysis, benefits analysis, oversee initiatives, and compliance
- Analyze market trends and identifying opportunities for the organization
- Identify where process improvements, new tools, or innovative technologies may be used to gain optimization and efficiencies
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified associate in project management (CAPM) certifications
- Familiar with a wide range of project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Wrike, Jira, Confluence, Asana)
- Extensive experience in managing complex, long-range programs within dedicated portfolios, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control
- Proficient with a wide range of project management and/or process methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Design Thinking, Waterfall) and tools, with a history of successfully delivering complex data management projects on time and within budget
- Strong leadership skills to lead and inspire project teams, provide strategic direction, and drive program success
- Ability to align program goals with overall business objectives, develop strategic plans, and make informed decisions to achieve desired outcomes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, present program updates, and address challenges or issues
- Proficiency in identifying, engaging, and managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure program alignment and success
- Skill in managing program budgets, financial resources, and cost control to ensure programs are delivered within financial constraints
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with programs to ensure successful delivery and minimize potential disruptions
- Strong team management skills to lead, motivate, and develop program teams, fostering collaboration, productivity, and high performance
- Capacity to make timely and informed decisions, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to achieve program objectives
- Proficiency in analyzing complex problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to address challenges and obstacles
- Experience in managing change within programs, including implementing change initiatives, facilitating organizational transitions, and overcoming resistance
- Understanding of quality management principles and practices to ensure program deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations
- Ability to identify and resolve conflicts within program teams or with stakeholders, promoting collaboration and maintaining positive relationships
- Commitment to driving continuous improvement within programs, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing enhancements to optimize program outcomes
- Dedication to understanding and meeting the needs of program stakeholders and customers, delivering value, and ensuring satisfaction
