Requirements

  • Practical project management experience in a State and Local environment
  • Understanding of project management principles to effectively manage cost, schedule, and scope; Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities and possess excellent time management skills to complete tasks within required timeframes with little to no supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage project budgets, identify financial issues, and develop Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs)
  • Strong organization skills to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and work independently in a demanding, dynamic environment
  • Ability to hold their project team accountable and consistently meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business-related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in project coordination implementing multiple projects with competing priorities
  • 7+ years of experience and knowledge of project management practices and techniques, including plan development, scope and change control management, work breakdown structure
  • 7+ years of experience managing the financial aspects of a project (Burn reporting & Forecasting)
  • Strong technical experience in Microsoft Project, PowerBI, SharePoint, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Jira
  • Must possess a very strong knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Cloud Migration project management practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with the Program Manager and other Project Managers to create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Hold your team accountable for assigned work
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicate with executives and key stakeholders to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Ensure all products released have gone through quality control in accordance with the expected standards
  • Manage all Financial aspects of the project (ex: Resource Burn, Client and Vendor Invoicing, Status Reporting to Execs)
  • Manage Scope and POP, create change orders as required
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Report on statuses including technical concerns, schedule progress and impacts, and risk assessment and remediation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience a plus
  • AWS Practioner or Associate certification
