Senior Public Relations Associate

Join our team at Fannie Mae as a Sr. Public Relations Associate (Flex Hybrid) to contribute to designing and implementing media and public relations policies, objectives, and initiatives.

Requirements

• 2 years of related experience drafting and editing technical content to make it accessible to a broad range of audiences
• Skilled in presenting complex information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
• Demonstrated understanding of foundational modern economic and financial concepts and themes, with ability to articulate viewpoints on key messaging to executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Work to expand external understanding and reach of the organization's business, performance, and strategy, and of the Economic & Strategic Research (ESR) Group’s housing research and insights
• Manage media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and speaking opportunities
• Evaluate and authorize all forms of communication regarding Fannie Mae for release to the public, with a particular focus on economic and financial communications
• Draft clear, concise messaging and assorted communications, including press releases and supporting materials for internal and external distribution
• Provide diligent editorial support for external-facing economic and housing research materials, including identifying and refining key messaging and takeaways for target audiences
• Help manage media inquiries and engagements with national and trade media, including facilitating interviews with Fannie Mae spokespeople
• Prepare summaries of media activity for key stakeholders
