Senior QA Analyst

You will create and execute manual tests, collaborate with testers, and potentially lead projects. You will report to a QA Manager and work with cross-functional teams. The position requires significant experience in software QA and familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• Have had a cumulative experience of at least 5+ years in Software QA or a related field
• Prior experience of Quality Assurance concepts and methodologies
• Knowledgeable in Agile methodology and tools like JIRA, Xray, Confluence, and Git
• Prior experience with writing or maintaining automation tests using Selenium and JavaScript
• Prior experience with Gherkin Language
• Fundamental knowledge of web technologies and protocols (JSON, AJAX, SOAP, HTTP, SSL)
• Intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and contribute to test coverage
• Understand the requirements and relevant domain of work, prepare a query list and share it with the project stakeholders (including the test lead/manager)
• Understand the details of tasks to be performed to come up with estimated efforts required to complete the task efficiently as agreed with the team
• Apply knowledge of QA methodologies and tools to execute test cases and report results
• Encouraging test automation and suggesting which tools could be used to increase process effectiveness
• Supports the automation initiative and should train/mentor junior team members for the same
• Defect management such as reporting bugs observed while executing testing tasks, re-testing fixed bugs, closing and defects
• Participate in Agile development processes, using tools like JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation
• Report to QA Manager / Project Manager on task progress, technical issues, and potential risks
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, with team members and stakeholders
• Gain sufficient domain & application knowledge to become a single point of contact of project specific QA needs
• Performs moderate complexity activities in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service skills are an asset
• Having ISTQB certification and the like would be an advantage
