Summary
Join TouchBistro, a leading restaurant management software company, as a QA Automation Engineer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software by writing and executing integration and end-to-end tests. Leverage your SQL expertise to analyze data and collaborate with other teams to maintain consistent quality across our products. This role requires 5+ years of experience in software testing, strong automation skills, and a collaborative spirit. Requirements
- 5+ years of software testing experience with a strong grasp of QA best practices and methodologies in an agile-scrum environment
- Extensive test automation skills, including integration, and end-to-end (e2e) testing for web and mobile
- SQL expertise, from writing complex queries to optimizing performance and validating end-to-end data transformations (ETL)
- System design know-how for test frameworks—understanding how to scale test coverage, speed up suites, and create maintainable testing infrastructures
- Collaborative spirit with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning—when things break, we learn and adapt
Responsibilities
- Continuously tighten the feedback loop by writing reliable integration and end-to-end tests—focusing on high-value coverage and quick test execution
- Make data-driven decisions by writing and running complex SQL queries to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across our systems
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent quality across new features, integrations, and product updates
- Mix it up by trying different tools and approaches
- Use AI tools like ChatGPT to automate repetitive tasks and help us focus on high-value testing and innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Node.js, React, Redshift, BigQuery or other data warehousing solutions
- Experience with observability systems (we use Datadog extensively for our o11y stack and have integrated Logging, APM, RUM, DBM and use most of their products in some way)
