Senior QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Gorilla Logic as a Senior QA Automation Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for our full-stack web, mobile, and enterprise applications. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment, collaborating with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality deliverables. This role requires proficiency in Ruby and experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Cypress. You will be responsible for reviewing test automation execution reports, reporting defects, and improving automation frameworks. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Ruby, Javascript, Java or any other programming language
• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Cypress
• Hands-on experience with manual testing
• Hands-on experience building out a big regression suite
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fluid, fast-paced setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for testing
• Review daily test automation execution reports to assess findings and take appropriate actions: report defects and/or fix test scripts
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Continuously refine and improve automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Provide clear, actionable reports on test results and quality metrics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Xray, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub
• Experience with other test automation tools or frameworks is a plus
