Senior QA Engineer

Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Senior QA Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the quality of our web and enterprise applications. This is a fully remote freelance contract position based in the Philippines, working on UAE time. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in QA, with a strong background in manual testing and a detail-oriented approach. The mission is expected to last 2-3 weeks, with the possibility of extension. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and tracking bugs, collaborating with developers, and continuously improving testing processes. Experience with Odoo and accounting principles is a plus.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience, primarily in manual testing
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise systems
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web and enterprise applications
• Perform manual testing to ensure product quality and performance
• Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Conduct regression, integration, system, and UAT testing
• Continuously improve testing processes and propose enhancements to QA standards
• Contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and review meetings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in API testing
• Familiarity with test automation tools (even if not the core focus)
• Knowledge of databases and basic SQL queries
• ISTQB certification or similar is a plus
• Experience with Odoo ERP
• Familiarity with accounting concepts or finance workflows
