Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and the QA team throughout the development process. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing inspection activities, detecting and resolving problems, and working closely with engineers to diagnose issues and ensure product releases meet specifications. Requirements

• Proven track record and competency in Quality Assurance roles for SaaS products, including test planning, test case design, test case prioritization, test case execution, bug reporting & tracking
• 10+ years experience in a related role
• Experience in testing web applications, including both back-end systems and front-end GUIs, web services, and relational databases. Experience with DB scripting
• Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices, and defect management practice
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript/JQuery, HTML5, XML, SQL queries and RDBMS. Experience with NoSQL engines is considered a plus
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• High level of spoken and written fluency in English, including ability to produce clear, readable documentation
• BSc / MSc university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Liaise with researchers, product owners and upper management at an early stage to understand the vision, technology and customer needs behind upcoming releases
• Support engineers during their research, development and testing with guidance on technique, standards, tools and test cases
• Design, develop and implement test standards
• Plan, execute and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing products
• Collect information to design and document reusable test scripts
• Work closely with engineers to diagnose issues, resolve defects, and make sure that product releases follow project specifications

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work in a self-motivated, driven way in a highly dynamic environment with changing requirements, tight deadlines and multi-tasking. Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
