Summary

Join Polycam as a Senior QA Engineer and spearhead quality assurance efforts for frontend devices (Web, iOS/Android) and backend services. Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks, focusing on 3D image capture workflows. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance in web and mobile
  • Deep knowledge of QA principles, manual and automated testing, and test design
  • Experience with black box, grey box, functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium or similar frameworks
  • Understanding of at least one scripting language (JavaScript or TypeScript preferred)
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, agile environment

Responsibilities

  • Own and support the QA lifecycle for Polycam’s product suite
  • Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks, with a specific focus on 3D image capture workflows
  • Develop test plans that assess: Image quality and fidelity (e.g., sharpness, resolution, color accuracy, noise, distortion) 3D reconstruction accuracy (e.g., geometric precision, completeness, and alignment) Software functionality (e.g., UI, processing algorithms, exports, integrations) System stability and robustness (e.g., long-term use, error handling, crash recovery)
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define quality standards, uncover risks, and align on requirements
  • Contribute to automated testing frameworks using tools such as BrowserStack and languages like JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Execute detailed test cases and scripts that cover full product workflows
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA, and provide clear reports to support efficient resolution
  • Analyze test results and quality metrics, and share insights that drive continuous improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D capture hardware or software
  • Familiarity with video and audio processing technologies
