Requirements

  • Proven record in IT consultative sales or complex proposition sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to engage and influence
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Sales & Marketing environment, complex sales propositions, and long sales cycles
  • Regularly receives great feedback from the client, virtual team and Sales Activation colleagues
  • Achieve against demand generation targets on a consistent basis and continues to push to over-achieve every mont
  • Activity levels consistently high across phone, Email and Social Networking channels
  • Achieves highest level of qualification for leads consistently and can evidence delivery of qualified opportunities that have clear revenue potential
  • Has conducted conversations with multiple stakeholders towards qualifying an opportunity in an account; and is able to prospect across all levels of an organization (including C-suite) by making effective use of the intel gained from conversations across the organization and in social networks
  • Demonstrates best practice in prospecting through all channels, and can coach others in the team
  • Is confidently able to elevate themselves on the phone and in client meetings, in a concise and informative way
  • Evidence of strong objection handling skills
  • Administration consistently completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • At least three years’ experience of working in complex B2B business development
  • Proven track record for delivering successful prospecting campaigns
  • Proficient with using CRM platforms (such as Salesforce)
  • Proficient with IT including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience using LinkedIn and ideally Sales Navigator

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly targets for activity and result generation (i.e. Delegate recruitment, opportunity generation etc)
  • Create engagement with senior decision makers using a mix of telephone/email/InMail channels (depending on the need of the campaign) to identify business pains & opportunities for client sales team
  • Personalize Nurture emails and LinkedIn mails that generate interest and responses
  • Develop an understanding of organizational structure in target organizations through research and profiling techniques
  • Gathering, applying and reporting business and market intelligence
  • Chairing regular client progress reviews by conference call (face to face if/as required)
  • Management of account base and ownership of data to maximize data resolution in campaign period
  • Liaising with the client stakeholders (in conjunction with Client Services) to receive and understand the brief whilst also preparing the toolkit for campaign delivery
  • Liaising with creative services to establish and refine business messaging to support continuous improvement of campaign performance
  • Daily reporting of progress against targets including time spent vs budget
