Summary

Join Bounteous's Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer and build innovative integration solutions for personalized marketing at a massive scale. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless integrations with various client tools. Focus on Salesforce integrations, building and maintaining cartridges for Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Improve project quality through code contributions and platform improvements. Ensure high code quality, scalability, reliability, and performance. Partner with other teams to meet user needs without compromising quality. Proactively prevent regressions through testing. This role directly impacts the company's success in the marketing tooling space.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to customize and integrate Salesforce solutions to meet unique business requirements and maintain high performance and reliability
  • You have worked professionally with web technologies for 5+ years with experience on a single application long enough to see the consequences of your decisions
  • You have strong development experience with Java
  • You have experience building event-based applications and/or have worked on ETL pipelines or data transformation projects/applications
  • Track record of tackling complex, escalated support issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to customers
  • You have a proven track record of building applications that maintain a high bar of quality
  • Experienced with Salesforce in Marketing and Commerce cloud, specifically working with cartridges
  • 6 years of professional experience performing software engineering (including developing, documenting, improving, and testing) for web technologies or applications that are scalable and reliable
  • 4 years of professional experience utilizing Java
  • 3 years of professional experience developing against Salesforce platform
  • 3 years of professional experience utilizing cloud computing platforms (including AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy applications and services on the cloud for scalability and reliability

Responsibilities

  • Act as the go-to expert on Salesforce-specific integrations, consulting with both internal business teams (Partnerships, Customer Success) and internal engineering teams
  • Design, build, and maintain Salesforce cartridges for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, ensuring smooth integration of client's offerings with customersโ€™ Salesforce environments
  • You are constantly improving the quality of the project you are working on, both via code contributions as well as long-term advocacy for platform improvements to generically solve common integrations problems
  • Build amazing consumer experiences, taking responsibility for code quality, scalability, reliability and performance
  • You understand how to partner with Partnerships, Customer Success, Product Management and Design to meet the userโ€™s needs without sacrificing quality or accruing tech debt
  • You deeply loathe regressions, and take proactive steps to protect against them through a variety of testing techniques
  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building customer-facing integrations
  • You have familiarity with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
  • You have development experience with Apex
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Marketing Cloud Developer) or demonstrable, in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem
