Summary
Join Doximity's Finance team as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst and play a pivotal role in preparing and improving the company's external financial reporting. Lead the preparation of SEC filings, including financial statements and disclosures. Maintain SEC filings in a cloud-based platform and prepare supporting schedules and documentation. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, perform industry benchmark analysis, and identify process improvements. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and assist with audits and special projects. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred), 3+ years of accounting experience (including 2+ years in public accounting at a Big 4 firm), excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of financial statements, U.S. GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting regulations. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years of public accounting experience in a Big 4 firm
- Excellent communicator with superb written and oral communication skills, and ability to partner cross-functionally
- Strong understanding of financial statements, U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, and SEC reporting regulations
- Detail oriented while being able to consider the big picture
- Quick learner with the ability to multitask, work independently, think critically and problem solve
- Proactive in identifying and implementing strategies to enhance the financial reporting process
- Proficient in Excel
- Enthusiasm for learning new IT systems and automation tools
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of SEC filings (i.e. 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC filings) including the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, relevant disclosure checklists, maintaining supporting schedules and documentation, and assisting with the review of XBRL tagging
- Roll forward, format, and maintain SEC filings within our cloud-based SEC reporting platform
- Own the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation for SEC filings, including tie-outs
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations including stock-based compensation, investments, and other technical accounting areas
- Perform industry disclosure benchmark analysis, develop and prepare recommendations
- Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting operations
- Recommend and support process improvements to standardize and streamline processes, including leveraging Alteryx, Domo, AI initiatives, and automation tools
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements by maintaining and documenting internal controls over financial reporting and other key business processes
- Assist in the management of the audit / quarterly review and PBC request process
- Assist in special projects, such as ad hoc analyses and other duties as appropriate
