Senior Accountant

Summary

Join Included Health as a fully remote Accounting Analyst and contribute to the company's accounting compliance. You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and support accounting requirements under GAAP, SOX, and other authoritative guidance. Responsibilities include account analysis and reconciliations, financial reporting, variance analysis, and working with budget owners. You will also lead the evaluation and resolution of complex accounting matters and guide the development of accounting policies and procedures. The role involves supporting internal controls, assisting with financial statement preparation, and leading external audits. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• CPA
• 3+ years prior work experience in an accounting position
• Big 4 Experience
• Healthcare experience
• Comfort balancing priorities across multiple projects
• Experience building strong, trusting relationships across teams
• Advanced Excel skills, Google Suite, Workday

Responsibilities

• Responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial reporting, variance analysis, monitoring integrity of system-generated calculations, and working with budget owners and other partners to provide business solutions that comply with accounting guidelines and meet goals
• Calculate and submit journal entries for approval
• Lead the evaluation and resolution of complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, software development, and leases, by researching guidance and preparing position papers
• Guide the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process changes and system changes
• Support monitoring and validation efforts for internal controls
• Provide hands-on support for varying projects
• Directly assist with financial statement and footnote preparation, and serve in a lead role for external financial statement audits and external audits of internal controls over financial reporting
