Senior ServiceNow Developer

Summary

Join ServiceNow as a Software Engineer and build high-quality, scalable, and reusable code. Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and own the code lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and delivery. Develop user-friendly software that allows for customization and contributes to new product features and enhancements. Mentor colleagues, promote knowledge sharing, and build data visualizations for effective decision-making. Construct AI agents for automation and workflows, and enhance workflows for data instrumentation. This role requires experience with Java, JavaScript, modern UI frameworks, data structures, algorithms, and ServiceNow platform development.

Requirements

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
• 5+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
• Analytical and design skills
• Working knowledge and ability to use tools to assist with daily tasks (IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools)
• UIB experience
• Platform Analytics, Performance Analytics, Dashboards & Reporting on ServiceNow Platform
• General ServiceNow development (AI Agents, workflows, playbooks, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
• Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users
• Implement software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
• Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
• Build visualizations for product usage data to enable internal teams to make effective decisions using data
• Build AI Agents that can perform automations and trigger workflows based on usage data patterns
• Build and enhance workflows for users to instrument usage data
