Remote Senior Shopify Liquid Engineer

Summary

As a Senior Shopify Liquid Engineer, you will maintain and optimize the performance of a pet wellness company's Shopify store, assist in building out a modular component library, and report to the Project Manager. Requirements

• A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience with Shopify platform with frontend development-focused experience
• Shopify 2.0 experience
• Strong Proficiency in Shopify's templating language Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in working with Shopify API for custom solutions

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the performance of our Shopify store to ensure a seamless user experience
• Regularly update the Shopify theme to align with brand guidelines, industry best practices, and enhancements
• Assist in building out a modular component library with our new design system
• Design and implement A/B tests, applying winning modifications to the Shopify theme
• Report regularly to the Project Manager, providing updates on project progress and performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of SEO best practices
• Experience split testing with VWO/Optimizely/Convert/etc is a plus
• Experience with Recharge and Rebuy Shopify apps is a plus
• Experience with Subscription-based eCommerce company
• Experience working with compilers such as gulp or vite and experience working with shopify + github
