Summary
Airalo is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their remote team. The role involves driving continuous improvement, maintaining and developing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability and security. The candidate should have experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD design and development, and Linux administration.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Engineering or a similar discipline
- 5+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in Linux administration
- 3+ years of experience with AWS services including strong knowledge in container orchestration
- Strong experience with Observability tools - logging/monitoring/alerting solutions
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, BitBucket CI/CD
- Experience with Configuration Management tools
- Comfortable with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience and interest in infrastructure as a code approach (Terraform)
- Strong development skills in scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, etc)
- Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Team player and open to new ideas
- Good communication skills and fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement, continuous delivery, and lean practices within the team
- Maintain and develop existing cloud infrastructure
- Ensure a high level of end-user satisfaction by advocating and implementing practices, metrics and monitoring tools with a user perspective in mind
- Improve observability of existing systems
- Implement automation, testing and deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
- Improve monitoring that alerts on anomalies rather than incidents, and infrastructure-as-code
- Own the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure and services
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Be on an on-call (PagerDuty) rotation to respond to incidents that impact availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Scrum and other agile methods
- Prior work experience in telecommunications
- Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA related technologies and services
