Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Summary

Join BeyondTrust's Platform Infrastructure team as a Site Reliability Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a reliable, microservices-based cloud software solution. You will define a platform for engineering teams, design long-term technical solutions, provide expert guidance, and deliver reusable tools. Collaboration with SREs and engineers is key, as is aligning with the team's strategy and automating processes. This role requires experience in designing and building enterprise-ready cloud-native platforms and a passion for optimizing cloud infrastructure. • You are passionate about researching, implementing, and managing solutions to build a cloud-native platform

• AWS Cloud Resources (S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, etc.)
• Service Mesh (Istio)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.)
• Continuous Delivery (e.g.: ArgoCD, GitHub Actions)

Responsibilities

• Define a platform for engineering teams to utilize automated, self-service, scalable, efficient, observable, and reliable infrastructure services as a product
• Design long-term technical solutions and cross-team mechanisms to achieve reliability goals
• Provide expert technical guidance and feedback during engineering design reviews to teams onboarding onto Platform Infrastructure using observability tools
• Deliver common, reusable tools, capabilities, and interfaces to the cloud platform solution
• Collaborate with SREs and engineers across engineering organizations on best practices
• Align and help drive execution of the Platform Infrastructure team’s strategy
• Reduce toil (automate, automate, and automate some more)
