Summary

Vidyard is seeking a Backend Leaning Senior Software Developer to join their Core Team, responsible for developing and maintaining critical services of their video platform. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires 6+ years of experience shipping user-facing, scalable web products.

Requirements

• Solid background in software engineering with 6+ years of experience shipping user-facing, scalable web products
• Ability to work across the software stack as a generalist while bringing experience to either front-end or back-end development
• History of success delivering on different initiatives in an agile, iterative environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Desire to drive improvements to our quality, reliability, and performance standards
• Lean thinking and an experimental, metrics-driven mindset
• High tolerance for ambiguity and recognition that action is sometimes the best path to discovery

Responsibilities

Take ownership of critical services including encoding, dashboard, chrome extension, mobile app, captions, thumbnails, and more

Preferred Qualifications

• Nice to have experience with Mobile or Desktop app development
• Eager to share knowledge among other senior - staff level developers and mentor junior and intermediate developers on your team
