Senior Software Development Engineer

Summary

Join GoDaddy's Developer Experience team as a Principal Software Engineer and contribute to the development of platforms used by various product teams. You will write high-quality code, participate in all phases of software development, perform code reviews, and engage with stakeholders to solve impactful problems. This is a remote position based in Colombia, with occasional office visits. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in software development, cloud infrastructure, and modern front-end technologies. Requirements

• Experience working with highly agile development teams
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• You have a strong understanding of JavaScript (client and server)
• Professional experience coding in a low-level language (C/C++, Java, Rust, Golang)
• Experience designing and building highly scalable APIs and microservices
• You have a strong understanding of modern front-end technologies such as React
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Understanding of standard web technologies (HTTP, JSON, Network topology, etc.)
• Experience with DevOps and understanding what deployment means using systems like Docker, AWS, and/or Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Write great code and create unit and integration tests that prove it
• Participate in planning, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of client and server-side platforms and tools that engineering teams across the company depend on
• Perform code reviews and participate in suggesting and supporting coding best practices
• Participate in operations, release, and on-call activities in support of our platforms
• Write, edit, and improve technical documentation
• Engage with engineers & stakeholders across GoDaddy to solve problems with broad impact (from group-wide to company-wide impact)
• Support other engineers on the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building schema-driven UI
• Experience implementing feature flagging and/or experimentation systems
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures
