Summary

Join our team at Nifty Gateway as a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) and contribute to building out the frontier of an emerging field. You'll work with smart, creative people to build tools for digital collectibles and have opportunities to improve user experience, refactor core systems, and develop new features.

Requirements

  • Have a strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience designing and engineering large scale systems
  • Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones
  • Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different areas of expertise
  • Are comfortably organized amongst chaos
  • Are a broad thinker and have the capability to see the potential impact of decisions across the wider business
  • Be familiar with our tech stack including TypeScript, React, styled-component, Python, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, MySQL, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, pytes, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitHub, CircleCI

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for removing roadblocks, ensuring processes are lean, efficient, and helping develop members
  • Help refactor and maintain our core systems to prepare them to scale
  • Develop features and improvements to the Nifty product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way that allows the platform to adapt and grow
  • Understand our core business objectives, then ideate and implement new features that will help us achieve our exciting goals to grow our customer base
  • Troubleshoot technical issues by leveraging your deep understanding of the systems and experience with technologies we leverage
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to build greenfield portions of the app
  • Help define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review
  • Provide mentorship for junior and intermediate engineers in your department to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
  • Embrace our DevOps culture: you build it, you run it
  • Work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels
