Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer at Hearsay Systems' Budapest Engineering Team. Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience with big data processing systems or online services
• Extensive experience working across the technical stack, developing modern web apps, and building systems that scale
• Familiarity with AWS and its key services or deep understanding of equivalent industry tools
• Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, etc)
• Dedication toward building stable, reliable, and resilient software
• Openness to diverse perspectives and collaboration with varied approaches
• Confidence in sharing your knowledge in group settings and participating in healthy debate
• Ability to handle open ended problems and ambiguity

Responsibilities

• Driving development and improvement of Hearsay functionality, APIs and databases across Engineering to enable various teams’ success
• Owning large parts of critical codebases and becoming a domain expert for your team
• Working with engineers, product owners, and UI/UX designers to consistently deliver updates and improvements in a continuous release cadence
• Thoughtfully scaling systems to respond quickly to sustained usage growth
• Maximizing the value delivered by driving best practices across our technology and team processes
