Summary

The job is for a backend services engineer at Life360, a remote-first company that provides location sharing services. The employee will work on breaking down the existing PHP monolith into microservices, creating new API gateways, scaling the system, mentoring other developers, and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar quantitative field or the equivalent industry experience
• 6+ years of prior professional experience working on backend and Cloud code
• Experience with microservices and horizontally scalable architectures
• Communicate effectively with cross-platform teammates
• Experience with high-scale, low-latency systems
• Understand how to deploy and maintain systems, ideally with kubernetes
