Senior Software Engineer, Remote - India

Summary

The job is for a Software Engineer at Orkes, a platform for building event-driven applications. The role involves guiding technical evaluations during the sales process, acting as a technical advisor, and working closely with customers to achieve tangible outcomes. The position requires experience in Backend Software Engineering, Solution Architecture, DevOps Engineering, or a combination of these, along with proficiency in IaC technologies, observability stacks, public cloud architectures, and coding in one or more languages.

Requirements

• 6+ years professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer, Solution Architect, DevOps Engineer, or a combination of these
• At least 3+ years with an IaC technology: Pulumi, Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, Helm, ArgoCD
• Atleast 2+ years with an observability stack: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, DataDog, New Relic
• Fluent coding experience in one or more of the following: Java, C#, Python, GoLang, Javascript
• Proven experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding
• Proven experience designing and implementing architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical evaluation phase during the sales process
• Act as a technical advisor to customers
• Work with the product team as an advocate of customers in the field
• Help customers achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through Orkes Enterprise Cloud
• Establish a clear architectural vision and identify compelling use cases for customers
• Lead clients through evaluating and adopting Orkes and Netflix Conductor
• Support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications
• Engage with the technical community (both internal and customer) by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups
