Summary

Join HashiCorp as a Senior Solutions Architect (SA) and become a product/solution expert, providing clients with in-depth technical guidance. You will work in a high-performance environment, helping clients overcome technical hurdles, optimize solution design, and accelerate time-to-value. The SA role focuses on the secure product line (Vault and Boundary), translating complex client challenges into standardized methodologies. You will collaborate with various teams, including pre-sales engineers and product management, to deliver successful client outcomes. This position requires 7+ years of experience in solution architecture and a university degree or equivalent. Domestic and occasional international travel is required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or equivalent experience
  • University degree in engineering or a similar program from an accredited college/university, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment that emphasizes customer service excellence
  • Comfortable working remotely and excelling with a high degree of independence and autonomy
  • Excellent communication – developing and presenting technical content to audiences with varying technical skills
  • Experience managing customer objections
  • Experience creating technical content such as architectural blueprints and recommended patterns
  • Comfortable leading discussions with clients to educate and advise them on the use and adoption of HashiCorp products to achieve measurable results
  • Experience supporting peers through code reviews, pair programming, and acting as a resource for all team members, sharing technical knowledge and process advice
  • Deep technical expertise in on-premises and cloud infrastructure management, application deployment, and practical security methodology
  • Mastery of concepts and technologies used in software development, operations, security, cloud, microservices, containers, and orchestration platforms
  • Experience engineering/managing an infrastructure platform with its own internal/external clients
  • Experience in major transformation efforts involving significant changes in processes, organization, and technology
  • Experience with HashiCorp Vault

Responsibilities

  • Act as a domain expert and escalation path to advance strategic opportunities throughout the customer journey
  • Establish and maintain an understanding of HashiCorp's overall technology portfolio
  • Be recognized as a specialized domain guide, aligned with and supporting HashiCorp Vault or Boundary and the competitive landscape
  • Assist in complex technical due diligence activities, supporting key moments such as discovery, technical validation, integration, consumption, and optimization
  • Present sophisticated product demos, evaluations, workshops, and proofs of value to key client partners
  • Work closely with the aligned pre-sales engineer (SE) and our clients to develop their vision/strategy to improve all aspects of application delivery, advise on the use and adoption of HashiCorp products to achieve their objectives, and generate measurable value-based results
  • Collaborate with account teams to identify and manage client risks and opportunities regarding product adoption, renewal, and expansion
  • Collaborate with HashiCorp product management to translate client business needs into technical solutions and new product requirements
  • Collaborate with HashiCorp product management and product education to build and maintain prescriptive models for key and strategic product use cases
  • Act as educators and advisors to HashiCorp sales teams, our partners, and our clients
  • Help foster an environment conducive to continued client success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of HashiCorp's "secure products" domain and how they work together to conceptualize solutions in this specific area (HashiCorp Vault certification desired)
  • Solid understanding of a cloud provider in your region (AWS/Azure/GCP certification preferred)
  • Expertise in the area of container orchestration and development (CKA certification desired)

Benefits

  • Base pay range: $175,760 β€” $206,800 CAD
  • OTE pay range: $219,700 β€” $258,500 CAD
  • Domestic and occasional international travel required
