Summary

This position involves serving as a technical lead in the federal sales process, translating complex government requirements into actionable solutions, and partnering with various teams to drive expansion and success. The role also includes leading technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, and conducting customer-facing presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture role, ideally supporting federal clients
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Cloud for Government)
  • Experience with federal security and compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD IL levels, etc
  • Strong technical background in areas such as the SDLC, security, networking, cloud architecture or DevSecOps
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead in the federal sales process, from discovery and demos to proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and partner with Customer Success & Professional Services to drive expansion
  • Translate complex government requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, DoD SRG) into actionable technology solutions
  • Partner with account executives to develop and present compelling technical proposals tailored to mission-critical objectives
  • Lead or support technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Conduct customer-facing presentations, demonstrations, and whiteboarding sessions
  • Design scalable architectures that meet federal compliance and security standards
  • Act as a liaison between the federal client and internal product/engineering teams to ensure feedback is incorporated into product development
  • Maintain deep knowledge of company products, integrations, and industry trends, particularly within the federal space
  • Partner with product marketing and enablement for Public Sector specific content
  • Travel as required to support customer meetings and industry events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with federal agencies or systems integrators
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance
  • Certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with agile development and DevOps methodologies
