Senior SRE - Platform

Summary

Join Kiln's Infrastructure team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and build robust, scalable cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with other engineering teams to create tools and environments for fast, secure, and reliable software delivery. Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure; build internal tools; ensure high service reliability; maintain strong security practices; and improve observability and monitoring. Guide architectural decisions, collaborate on risk assessment, and promote best practices. This role reports to the Head of Infrastructure and is key to scaling Kiln's core platform. Requirements

• 5+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering in high-standard environments (FinTech a plus)
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Proficiency in Terraform/Terragrunt and Helm for IaC and automation
• Familiar with Prometheus/PromQL and observability tooling
• Experience with secure infrastructure management (e.g. Vault, KMS)
• Clear and confident in technical decision-making and collaboration
• Fluent in French and English (all written communication is in English)

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, multi-cloud & bare metal infrastructure
• Build internal tools and platforms to streamline development workflows
• Ensure high service reliability, uptime, and smooth inter-service communication
• Maintain strong infrastructure security practices and compliance (SOC 2)
• Improve observability, alerting, and performance monitoring
• Guide architectural decisions and promote infrastructure best practices
• Collaborate with teams to assess risk and ensure robust delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal developer platforms
• Familiarity with high-availability systems at scale
• Experience designing, building and deploying user-facing, and/or API-based products
• Previous work in SOC2, ISO 27001, or other certified environments
• Experience with data tooling (BigQuery, Airbyte, DBT, ….)
