Requirements

  • Education: BS in Accounting, or similar
  • Experience: 5-7 years in an accounting role within the Tech or SaaS industry, Experience with GAAP,Β  most importantly, ASC 606
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling, automation tools); experience with NetSuite ERP or similar financial software preferred
  • Core Competencies: Sharp analytical skills, problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and tackle new challenges
  • Work Eligibility: Authorized to work in the US (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Strategic Business Operations: Analyze key business drivers and provide real-time financial insights for informed decision-making
  • Implement Procedures and Controls: Evaluate finance operations, and recommend and implement automation and streamlining measures for scalability
  • Leverage Technical Tools: Utilize accessible tools to minimize human error and expedite manual tasks in alignment with the company’s focus
  • Project Management: Lead external projects, acting as a liaison between management and partners
  • General Ledger Management: Review, process, and prepare general ledger transactions (AP, AR, daily bank transactions) applying technical expertise for complex SaaS accounting principles (ex. capitalizing software development costs, and managing revenue recognition)
  • Monthly Closing and Reporting: Actively participate in monthly closing procedures, prepare journal entries, and maintain and analyze financial reports, statements, and ledger accounts
  • Audit Support and External Relations: Assist with audits, and foster relationships with external partners like audit firms and financial institutions
  • Ensure tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, considering the evolving implications of a growing remote business, including state and federal tax regulations, nexus considerations, and sales tax compliance
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Develop relationships across departments, providing operational and analytical support
  • Team Support: Collaborate on projects within the FP&A & Revenue Operations teams
