Summary

Join Nagarro, a Digital Product Engineering company, as a Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, envisioning solutions, implementing designs, and leading UAT and production rollouts. Expertise in data architecture, warehousing, and lake concepts is crucial, along with proficiency in PostgreSQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Experience with data modeling, semantic layers, Git, CI/CD, GCP (DataFlow, Cloud SQL), and LookML is required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. You will also contribute to troubleshooting, code/design reviews, and POCs.

Requirements

  • Total experience 10+ years
  • Strong working knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and data lake concepts
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL and writing optimized SQL queries
  • Proficient in Python for data ingestion, transformation, and automation
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for data visualization
  • Experience with data modeling, semantic layers, and KPI definitions
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools for version control and pipeline automation
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP ), especially DataFlow and Cloud SQL
  • Exposure to Looker LookML development and semantic modeling
  • Understanding of modern data lakehouse architectures .
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing the clients needs in the context of the project
  • Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to realize it
  • Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
  • Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
  • Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs
  • Creating, understanding and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it
  • Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations
  • Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs
  • Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
  • Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
