Summary

The job is for a System Administrator at 3Pillar Global, a global product development partner. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting network issues, building and imaging computers, managing software and hardware inventory, ensuring security of company systems, creating documentation, working with technical leads on initiatives, assessing new technologies, and providing analytical support.

Requirements

• Operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 11
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 or Linux servers
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, communication protocols (TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, LDAP), and network security (IDS/IPS, VPN, VLANs, etc.)
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, G Suite), Atlassian stack, Windows services (DNS, DHCP, AD, NPS), and AV communications/collaboration systems
• Strong documentation and research skills
• Good knowledge of database theory, data backup, and recovery
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Systems & Network security concepts
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
• Excellent communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot network, server, desktop, and printer issues
• Build and image computers (Linux, Windows, and macOS)
• Manage software and hardware inventory
• Ensure the security of Company systems and data
• Create and maintain high-quality documentation of all relevant specifications, systems, and procedures
• Work closely with Technical Leads on different initiatives
• Assess and recommend the application of new technologies and products for improvement of the assigned system
• Provide analytical and technical support in the acquisition, design, development, and implementation of automated systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Operating systems: Linux, and macOS
• Virtualization technologies: Hyper V, VMware or other bare-metal hypervisor or cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Scripting knowledge (bash, PowerShell, Python) or experience with Automation tools/scripts (Ansible)
• Enterprise security systems including anti-virus/anti-malware solutions, firewalls
• Experience with monitoring systems and log management solutions
