Senior System Architect

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems architecture, or proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems
• Result driven, works cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products or large components
• In-depth understanding of server-client and cloud application architectures including understanding of network technologies and underplaying communication protocols
• Strong expertise in designing cloud solutions and cost management for system architecture
• Experience building, architecting, designing, documenting and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems
• Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices is a plus
• Proficiency in developing and managing microservices, integrations, plugins, network infrastructure and security
• Proficiency with various platforms/OSs and virtualization/containerization technologies
• Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to drive innovation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong change management skills
• Experience with OO languages (ie C/C++, Go), scripting languages (ie. JavaScript, Python), OpenAPI, AWS, Docker, SQL, MongoDB etc

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure system architectures utilizing microservices, integrations, plugins, and cloud solutions
• Develop and manage microservices architectures to ensure modularity, scalability, and efficient resource utilization
• Manage integrations and plugins solutions to ensure compatibility and optimal performance across different platforms and services
• Architect cloud solutions that operate efficiently across multiple cloud environments, leveraging the best features of each
• Design and oversee the implementation of server-client and cloud application architectures and communication protocols that ensure optimal performance, scalability, and user experience
• Utilize various platforms/OSs and manage virtualization and containerization technologies to enhance system efficiency and scalability
• Experience with IaC practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
• Optimize and manage costs associated with system architecture and cloud solutions
• Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) that validate architectural decisions and demonstrate potential solutions
• Apply experience with complex systems, akin to large-scale platforms like Facebook and Instagram, to handle high traffic, data processing, and real-time interactions
• Provide technical leadership and direction. Ability to create POCs, ensuring best practices and standards are followed and align technical solutions with business goals
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving the architecture and recommending innovative solutions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating with all stakeholders
