Senior Systems Administrator

Summary

The job is for a Senior Systems Administrator at HostPapa, a fast-growing web hosting company. The role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems, participating in optimization projects, and applying communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience with Linux (CentOS/RHEL/CloudLinux) and LAMP stack
• Proficiency in Linux Firewall
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, protocols, routing, and firewalls)
• Strong scripting knowledge in bash, perl, and python
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support HostPapa's core organizational functions
• Supervise the monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of current fleet of internal servers and services
• Participate in new optimization projects
• Identify and resolve issues, plan and implement improvements, and communicate them to maximize the benefit of IT systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox, Virtuozzo, and VMware)
• Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Puppet, and Salt)
• Familiarity with storage technologies like NFS and iSCSI troubleshooting
