Senior Systems Engineer

Summary

Join Datacom's high-performance Professional Services team as a Senior Systems Engineer. This customer-facing consulting role requires strong collaboration skills and experience delivering IT infrastructure projects. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate possesses experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and virtualization technologies. Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a Baseline or NV1 security clearance are required. Datacom offers a flexible work environment with remote work options and various perks.

Requirements

• Have experience working with external enterprise customers in delivering projects in professional services environments
• Have experience with design, implementation and optimization of: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange
• Have experience with design, implementation and optimization of: Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, AHV)
• Have a curiosity & passion for customers and a proven ability to communicate solutions in a way that resonates with all levels of our customer’s
• Be comfortable in engaging both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
• Be able to work both independently on competing priorities and as part of a team
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be an Australian Citizen and be able to achieve a Baseline or NV1 security clearance

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned IT infrastructure-based projects are delivered on time, within budget, to agreed scope
• Serve as the technical point of contact for implementation services and solutions. This may either be provided remotely or on-site
• Providing pre-sales support and expertise to the sales team

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrate design, implementation and optimization experience in Backup and recovery i.e Commvault, Veeam
• Demonstrate design, implementation and optimization experience in Hyperconverged technologies i.e. Nutanix, Dell, Cisco
