Summary
Join Huntress, a fully remote global cybersecurity company, as a Senior Tax Accountant to support our rapid growth. You will prepare and review various business tax returns, tax provisions, tax planning, and research. This role demands a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will assist with U.S. and international tax filings, tax audits, and collaborate with internal departments. The position requires conducting tax research, identifying process improvements, and supporting system implementation. Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with a focus on U.S. federal income tax and international tax
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 (tax provisions) and deferred tax accounting
- Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- The ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a dynamic business environment
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporate entities
- Assist with the preparation of various international tax returns for subsidiaries in Australia, Canada, the UK, and Ireland
- Assist in the preparation of the annual tax provision in compliance with ASC 740
- Assist with the preparation of various indirect tax returns and monthly reconciliations
- Support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and identify tax planning opportunities
- Assist with employment tax-related matters
- Identify and implement process improvements, including providing system implementation support
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) or with a large multinational corporation is preferred
- Prior experience in a SaaS or enterprise software company is preferred
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred
- CPA, CMI, or MST designation is preferred
