Senior Technical Product Owner

Summary

Join HomeBuddy, a fast-growing home improvement platform, and lead internal product initiatives focused on lead acquisition, distribution, and automation systems. You will conduct analyses to enhance customer value and organizational outcomes, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage risks. This role involves working with ML models and AI tools to automate operations and collaborating with the data department. You will lead go-to-market processes to maximize customer value and profitability. This full-time position offers home-working flexibility and a positive work environment.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience in Product Management or 5+ years of experience in Product Management or related areas: Business analysis, Product analysis, Data analysis
• Advanced knowledge of Agile practices and the ability to mentor others in Agile methodologies
• Deep understanding of CustDev and Continuous Discovery habits, methodologies, and Product documentation techniques
• Understanding of general principles behind ML models and AI, including areas of their applicability/limitations
• Technical proficiency at the level required for effective communication with software developers, ML engineers, and Data engineers
• Expertise in business analysis, business modeling tools, and techniques
• Skills to perform exploratory data analysis, data mining, and statistical analysis, or at least the ability to ask meaningful questions about data and effectively formulate tasks for data analysts
• Strong storytelling and pitching skills
• Ability to think and work independently, with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal & written English communication skills (at least C1)

Responsibilities

• Leading internal product initiatives focused on lead acquisition, distribution, and automation systems
• Conducting various types of analyses to identify opportunities for enhancing customer value and improving organizational outcomes
• Effectively communicating with stakeholders (customers, business leaders, development team, data engineers, etc.) to ensure alignment. Facilitating planning activities, gathering feedback, and providing regular updates to maintain transparency and keep all parties informed of progress and outcomes
• Managing and mitigating the feasibility, profitability, demand, legal, and other non-technical risks
• Ensuring radical transparency regarding the value and outcomes delivered by the team, as well as progress toward achieving goals
• Working with predictive ML models, AI tools, and data to automate routine operations and help business users make more informed data-driven decisions
• Collaborating with the data department to design measurement frameworks, set hypotheses, and validate features through data analysis
• Leading go-to-market processes to ensure that solutions are effectively delivered to end-users in a way that maximizes customer value, usability, and company profitability
