Remote Senior Technical Revenue Accountant

Summary

Airtable is seeking a Senior Technical Revenue Accountant to own critical revenue accounting functions, collaborate with teams, and assist with process improvements. The candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in high-growth SaaS industry, including 2 years at a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred). A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of revenue accounting experience in high-growth SaaS industry, including a minimum of 2 years at a public accounting firm; Big 4 experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study; CPA is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to ensure alignment between contractual terms and revenue recognition principles
• Assess new product offerings and go-to-market strategies for revenue considerations
• Review contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition treatment, including documentation of non-standard revenue transactions and performing revenue adjustments
• Identify and drive process improvements within the overall Quote to Cash process, including system improvements and automation projects
• Assist with accounting close and reporting process, including financial statement preparation, analysis, and management reporting
• Research accounting guidance and draft technical accounting memos to conclude on the company’s key revenue positions
• Support annual audits; preparation of audit schedules and reconciliations and support ad-hoc audit requests
• Provide technical guidance to operational revenue accounting team (billing & collections)

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of general accounting concepts and ASC 606; contract review and revenue recast experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel is required, knowledge and experience with Workday and Salesforce is a plus
